Dive deep into the mechanics of waves and the navigation of flow. This 3-session workshop utilises waving modes and models to explore the destabilisation of pathways and the negotiation between logic and instinct. Participants will transcend individual practice through tracing and threading, connecting with other moving bodies to explore collective synergy. By expanding waving beyond its traditional boundaries, participants learn to manipulate flow with greater diversity and precision. The journey culminates in a Workshop Presentation, where participants act as co-creators in a shared physical inquiry. Pathway 1: Isolations
When we use isolations, the focus on different points in the body shift in and out; from robotic manipulation of limbs, the almost human-like mannerism in the mannequin, to using flexes to dissect the body - isolations remain one of the core characteristics of Popping.
In our own practice, isolations are always a part of our movement language and this workshop is an exploration of our theories and concepts.

Pathway 2: Music
“Music is the key to movement” that ideology remains one of the most widely followed in the world of Street Dance. Music is more than just a combination of sounds but evoke imagination and emotion through its composition.
In this workshop, we learn ways to follow music as a guide to the pathways of movement; allowing a visceral response that is rooted in the present. Music moves beyond a complimentary state into an important collaborator.

Pathway 3: Waving + “Traces Of You” studio showing
Waving is one of the most recognisable elements in the world of Popping that has developed its own trajectory. It is a deep dive into the understanding of flow - how movement can flow as well as how the flow can move within.
This workshop on waving introduces our "Interflo" framework; giving waves multiple qualities and functions to allow its translation beyond just as movement and into a tool for expression.
Instructor Bio:
ScRach MarcS (@scrachmarcs) is a contemporary expression of a practice that is rooted in the heritage of street dance. Their concept of education is based on a “Life Education” ideology—one where movement and inspiration come from the day-to-day experiences embodied within human physicality and psyche. We connect with movement through life and, in turn, use movement to allow us to live in a fuller, more connected, and conscious manner.
