Explore choreographer Kim Bora’s Tail Movement, a central concept of Art Project BORA. This workshop investigates the "tail" as an imagined sensory space—a lost organ that remains a source of internal motivation. Participants will trace these subtle sensations, transforming inner impulses into physical expression. By observing bodily awareness and the attitude of the body itself, participants engage in an ongoing sensory dialogue. This practice fluidly moves between research and training, questioning how the body communicates with its environment. Through this inquiry, participants propose new ways of thinking about—and relating to—the world through dance. Level: Open
Bora Kim (@choreobora) is currently an adjunct professor at the Korea National University of Arts, where she has been planning and leading various workshops and arts education programmes that connect artistic creation with education.
In 2025–2026, she is conducting workshops with the Korea National Contemporary Dance Company, developing educational programmes based on contemporary dance creation and bodily research. She has also shared her body-based creative methodology in international contexts, including a workshop associated with the Buenos Aires Dance Festival in 2024 and participation in the programme development process at Lincoln Center Education in the United States in 2016, where she contributed to the development of an educational programme connected to her choreographic work *Tail Language*.
In the field of arts education, she has continued to develop and implement a range of programmes. She developed and led the media-expansion programme *Re;cord* for the Ieum Creative Academy organised by the Korea Disability Arts & Culture Center, and conducted *Metamong*, a creative programme that integrates art and technology for elementary education.
She has also developed dance arts education programmes for special elementary education and people with disabilities, produced online educational content, and delivered lectures for teaching artists and educators.
Through these activities, Bora Kim continues to pursue an arts education practice that moves across creation, education, and research, grounded in the exploration of bodily perception and movement.
