
Illuminate the ways in which the body connects with its inner rhythms while embracing the ecstasy of movement. This workshop provides a space for participants to practice connected embodiment, discovering the totality and power of the body through guided movement explorations. By utilising various tools from the Morphology movement practice, participants will explore new choreographic pathways. This session invites participants to engage with groovy beats as a catalyst for deep physical awareness and expressive freedom. Level: Advanced

Instructor Bio:
Zee Zunnur (@zee_zunnur) is an Australian-based Singaporean movement artist. She was a long-time dancer with Hofesh Shechter Company (UK) and has toured internationally as a performer and teacher. She has deep roots in Malay folk dance, having trained in it at a young age. She continued her contemporary dance and choreographic practice in the UK, Europe, and now in Australia, sharing a deeply vast practice which she now calls Morphology.
She has been invited as a guest artist and choreographer with T.H.E Dance Company, CONTACT Contemporary Dance Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Ignition Dance Festival, Esplanade da:ns Festival Singapore, Singapore Biennale, National Gallery Singapore, and more. In Australia, she has performed and choreographed for Marrugeku, the Pre-Professional Year in Sydney Dance Company, STRUT Dance, Co3 Australia, Mitch Harvey Company, James Vu Anh Pham, Juliet Burnett, Brooke Leeder, Rachel Ogle, WAAPA, the Fremantle Biennale, and more.

Beginner
Recommended experience level: min. 6 months in movement-based classes.
Expectation: Sessions move at an accessible pace, focusing on fundamental patterns, coordination, and learning new sequences.
Intermediate
Recommended experience level: min. 1 year consistent experience in dance or movement training.
Expectation: Physical stamina and mental agility. Expect more intricate phrase work, quicker pickups, and a deeper dive into the specific aesthetic and “groove” of the artist.
Advanced
Recommended experience level: High-level training; suitable for semi-professional and professional movers or participants with min. 2 years of experience in dance training.
Expectation: Artistic nuance and complexity. These workshops move at a professional pace, challenging participants with sophisticated material, performance-level energy, and advanced spatial awareness.
Open
Recommended experience level: Understanding of basic dance principles and a willingness to explore.
Expectation: Creative research and improvisation. These sessions are 100% process-based, prioritising individual discovery, spontaneity, and the artist’s unique creative methodology over set choreography.
